Objectives.

To produce recruitment videos in both English and Spanish, encouraging individuals to volunteer at StrengthUnited and support their mission to stop violence at its roots.

My Role.

  • Collaborated with the client to understand objectives.

  • Developed the project plan and timeline.

  • Coordinated scripting, storyboarding, shooting, and editing.

  • Managed budget and resources.

  • Reviewed and approved final videos.

Process.

Consultation: Defined project scope and objectives through meetings with client. Gathered detailed requirements to ensure the videos would address the needs and goals of the organization.

Planning: Created a comprehensive project plan, including a timeline with key milestones, and a resource allocation plan. Identified potential risks and developed mitigation strategies.

Scripting: Collaborated with bilingual scriptwriters to draft compelling scripts in both English and Spanish.  

Storyboarding: Worked with the creative team to develop storyboards that visualized the script. 

Pre-production: Scheduled filming dates, scouted locations, and organized a shot list to ensure all necessary footage was captured. 

Production: Directed filming sessions, overseeing the crew to capture high-quality footage. 

Post-production: Managed the editing process, working closely with editors to create a cohesive and impactful final product. Included the addition of motion graphics, subtitles, and background music to enhance the videos. 

Client Review: Presented draft videos to StrengthUnited for feedback. Made necessary revisions based on their input, ensuring the final product met their expectations and requirements.

Final Delivery: Delivered the final videos in the required formats, ready for deployment on various platforms. Assisted with the rollout strategy to ensure maximum reach and engagement.

Challenges & Solutions.

Challenge: Effectively communicating the emotional impact and importance of volunteering.
Solution: Created heartfelt scripts and visuals featuring testimonials from current volunteers.

Challenge: Ensuring the message was clear and compelling in both languages.
Solution: Worked with bilingual scriptwriters and voiceover artists.
